Jeff Wood Creative

About

About me.

My name is Jeff Wood and I create cool things. Design. Art. Music. Books.

My dream is to sneak up to a grizzly bear, spook it, and run away before it mangles me.

High school was the Deftones, DJ Premier, Standford Prison Experiment, and Depeche Mode.

Professionally, in addition to the 2016 DewNBA3X tour and Samsung Experience mentioned on my home page, I have led design efforts for a series of exclusive Microsoft and NFL events, ran an email campaign for Pepsi Tech Conference, and played a key role in the 2016 Kentucky Derby.

I've also worked with Zappo's, the Golden State Warriors, Delta Airlines, Xbox, the U.S. Olympic Committee, and Covergirl.

Some of the projects, events, and campaigns I worked on were covered in Forbes, Bloomberg Businessweek, Trend Monitor, PR News Wire, and Spin Magazine.

In addition to big brands, I've also played major design roles with BYU and NC State Athletics, helping usher them in to the new economy of social media and the increasing expectations of massive, global fan bases.

I've directed 37 photo shoots with 19 future NFL and 4 future NBA players among others.

One of the funnest moments of my career was being lead designer for BYU Basketball from 2010-2012, two nationally historic seasons that drew heavy national attention. My designs were spotted in highlights and interviews on the Dan Patrick Show, Burning with Jim Rome, Pardon The interruption, USA Today, The New York Times, and more.

I love to read. I've read over 1,000 books on achievement, branding, design, health, success, and maximizing life. I am also a loyal reader of Inc., Entrepreneur, and Time magazine. My business philosophies are heavily influenced by Tim Ferriss, Seth Godin, Tony Robbins, Ramit Sethi, and David Brooks.

I have over 23,000 hours of design experience. I've collected a reference library of over 7,000 of the best designs in the world that I study regularly.

I graduated from Brigham Young University with dual degrees in Mandarin Chinese and Advertising, along with a Business Management minor.

Great design by itself is only appreciated by designers and their moms.

Great businesses without excellent branding rarely reach their potential. I bring great design to great businesses.

I am fueled by good music, basketball, water, forests, and family.
