WILSON PDFD

I worked with the city of Wilson to produce a series of recruitment videos for various divisions, including police, fire and rescue.

The most important factor in recruitment videos is interviewing the right people. True champions and believers of the organization. The pre-screening interviews are the biggest driver of success of failure, and fortunately the lot of people we had to select from was excellent.

As for the production, I wanted these videos to be visually exciting. The grain of a smoke grenade, the vehicle shine, the forensics lab, the drama of a SWAT unit making a tactical approach.

Emotionally, I aimed for the part of us that craves uncertainty, the thrill of adventure, and the call to be part of something big. Police and fire careers offer a chance to do something your family and community take pride in.

To bring my direction to life, I partnered with Hygge House, a phenomenal production house based in North Carolina. Whether for actor-led shoots, or documentary style like these, we map out all the details ahead of time through a series of pre-pro meetings, film, and continue frequent collaboration until the project is complete. As with all creative directors, I am lifted by the talent of those around me.
