I was lead designer for the NBA and Mountain Dew’s DEWNBA3X basketball tournament activation, a six-city tour including Houston and Los Angeles. For these hero visuals, I pulled from the personal stories of James Harden and Kobe Bryant - quotes, relevant photos, patterns - then fragmented them to create the chaotic, high-energy aesthetic of street basketball. The scale and emotion needed to be dramatic and larger-than-life, sharply contrasting traditional event signage and banners.
